1. Scope of the Policy and contact

This Cookie Policy describes the use of cookies and similar technologies in connection with www.muzel.pl and Store functions.

This Policy should be read with the Privacy Policy (GDPR), Terms of Website Use, Terms & Conditions of Sale, Shipping & Delivery Policy and Refund & Return Policy. Those documents do not replace or change the cookie rules described here.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files or identifiers stored on, or read from, a user’s device while using the Site. Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, tags or session identifiers.
Technologies may be first-party (set by MUZEL) or provided by a third party where the relevant service is actually used on the Site or during the Order process (checkout).

3. Legal basis and consent

Use of technologies that store information on, or access information from, an end device takes place in accordance with Articles 399 and 400 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law.
Necessary cookies may be used without separate consent only where they are necessary for transmission of a communication or for a service expressly requested by the User, such as the basket, Order process (checkout), security or storing the cookie choice.
Other cookies, including functional, analytics, marketing and external-content cookies, are activated only after prior consent where consent is required. Where cookies involve personal-data processing, consent is also based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

4. Cookie categories and purposes

Necessary: operation of the Site and Store, security, session, basket, Order process (checkout), login – where an Account is available – and storage of the choice made in the cookie banner.
Functional: remembering optional preferences, such as language or interface settings; used only where the relevant function is available and consent has been selected.
Analytics: measuring use of the Site, detecting problems and improving performance; not activated without consent where consent is required.
Marketing and external content: measuring advertising effectiveness, tailoring communications or displaying third-party elements; not activated without consent where consent is required. This Policy does not mean every category is always active.

5. Providers and current information

MUZEL uses the consent mechanism available on the Site (the cookie banner), rather than a separate CMP platform. External providers are used only where their service is actually needed on the Site or during the Order process. This includes Stripe or PayPal where the User selects the relevant payment method.
Before implementing a new optional technology, including analytics, a pixel, tag, plugin or marketing tool, MUZEL updates the information in the cookie banner and this Policy and, where required, provides a way to give consent before that technology is activated.

6. Choosing and withdrawing consent

On the first visit, the cookie banner enables the User to accept optional categories or reject them by selecting “Reject non-essential”. Consent options are not pre-ticked.
Where MUZEL uses cookies other than necessary cookies, it activates them only after obtaining any consent required. MUZEL provides a way to change or withdraw that choice using the consent mechanism available on the Site.
MUZEL does not make basic access to the Site conditional on consent to optional cookies.

7. Payments and checkout-necessary cookies

Where the User selects an online payment method, the payment provider, including Stripe or PayPal depending on the selected method, may use technologies necessary to process that payment securely. They are activated only to the extent necessary for a payment expressly initiated by the User.
Details of data processing by payment providers are included in the Privacy Policy and Privacy Policy (GDPR).

8. Browser settings

The User may also delete or block cookies through browser settings. This may limit the operation of the Site, Account, basket, Order process (checkout) or selected functions.
Browser settings do not replace the choice made in the cookie banner. Blocking necessary cookies may limit the operation of the Site or Store.

9. Personal data, recipients and transfers

Some cookies and identifiers may be personal data or may allow indirect identification of a user. Rules for processing such data, including user rights, recipients, transfers outside the EEA and contact details, are set out in the Privacy Policy (GDPR).
Third-party providers are used only where their service is actually used on the Site or during the Order process and in accordance with documentation for the relevant service.

10. Retention

Session cookies are deleted when the browser session ends. Persistent cookies and similar technologies remain active no longer than necessary for their purpose and in accordance with settings of the service actually used.
MUZEL does not use indefinite consent or unlimited retention of data obtained through cookies.

11. Changes to the Policy

MUZEL may update this Policy, in particular when law, technologies, plugins or providers change. The current version will be published on the Site with an effective date.
Where a change requires a new consent, MUZEL will request it before activating the relevant category of cookies.

For personal data, the User also has the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Polish Data Protection Authority, as described in the Privacy Policy (GDPR).

13. Keeping information current

MUZEL periodically verifies the technologies actually used on the Site and in checkout. This Policy and the information in the cookie banner are updated before a material change is introduced. A description of a category does not mean that every technology in that category is active.
